Performance power programmer for John Deere Equipment. Competition programmer includes 1 power tune of your specification. (generally +60hp, +80hp & +100hp) And the stock file to return the machine to original at any time. Step 1 -Reading the Stock File Locate the Diagnostic connector, unscrew the protective cap from the plug in and connect the HDT Interface harness as shown. Select the top left Icon “Tuning” Note – It may be necessary to calibrate the touch screen for precision – If you are having trouble navigating the touch screen press the “information” Icon located at the bottom right and select “calibrate screen” touch the 5 points indicated on the screen unit it says the test passed. Push the RIGHT arrow to select the John Deere Tuning Using the UP/DOWN arrow scroll the list of machines until you find the correct category. Once located push on the correct category which will highlight the tab in white then press the RIGHT arrow to continue. Locate and select your model, press the RIGHT arrow to proceed. You will now be asked to Read the stock file from the computer press YES. Wait for the read process to complete. It is VERY IMPORTANT not to unplug the tuner or try starting the engine during the READ/WRITE process. Memory damage may occur. With the read process you are just reading the ECU not modifying it in any way so once the read is done and stored into the programmer you are able to start the engine and use the machine as normal. Step 2 – Transferring the READ file to your PC You will now need to go to your computer and install the supplied CD. The software will open and immediately look for the programmer tool.
