Thermo King TK486V Diesel Engine Connecting Rod Yanmar Reefer Motor 11-8952
Connecting Rod and piston removed from a Tier 2 Thermo King TK4.86V Yanmar Diesel Engine. Piston and rings not implied as part of the sale but will be left on for buyers discretion for use. Rings move freely and has typical carbon deposits. They may clean up to good condition but these reefer engines acquire significant hours so inspect them before use. Picture one is after soaking in combustion chamber cleaner for 24 hours and washed. Picture two is before soaking in combustion chamber cleaner. The pistons do look decent for a used piston for what it’s worth. All pictures from 3 and on are after washing as well. Bearings not implied as to be used again but they look pretty good for what that’s worth also. This is a good used 90mm stroke rod ready for new pistons, rings and bearings or use’as is’ which I personally wouldn’t hesitate doing. Any questions just send a message. I assume these rods from the TK486V part out are the same as the rods for a TK486EH and TK486VH but I’m not sure if the part superceded to a new number. Likely fits the TK4.82 as it’s a 90mm stroke also, but keep in mind the TK4.82 is an 82mm bore engine and these pistons are too large for the 4.82. Part numbers are to the best of my knowledge. Actual part out is a TK486V from a Thermo King reefer unit. The serial number of the donor engine is shown in picture gallery if you wish to verify with a local Thermo King Dealer. Multiple item specifics indicate makes other than Thermo King as these connecting rods appear to fit multiple 90mm stroke Yanmar models used by various brands.
