Part numbers are found usually on the compressor (Aluminum) housing, or on the center section of the turbo, which is machined, flat, or on a metal tag. Of all Turbocharger failures, very few are the fault of the turbo itself, but in fact caused by outside influence. Oil starvation: A blocked or restricted oil feed pipe, damaged oil pump, low oil level. Oil contamination: Metal particles or carbon from poor servicing or faulty DPF filters, EGR valves etc. Over speeding: Boost pipe work, holed intercooler, jammed VNT, Remap.
